There are various types of wax that are used to make candles and they are as follows;

Paraffin Wax

Paraffin Wax is a dense, transparent hydrocarbon fusion resulting from the paraffin distillate portion of crude petroleum. Colorless or white, somewhat translucent, hard wax containing of a mixture of solid straight-chain hydrocarbons stretching in melting point from about 48° to 66° C (120° to 150° F). They are obtained from petroleum by de-waxing light lubricating oil. Paraffin Wax is proficient in the production of candles, wax paper, polishes, cosmetics, and electrical insulators.

Soy Wax

Soy Wax came into limelight in the early 90’s when a young man was searching for a viable alternative for beeswax.
